Job description

Job Title

Essential Functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service to our team members, customers and vendors.
  • Answer store telephone, transfer calls/take messages, etc.
  • Count money and reconcile cash from previous days sales.
  • Update all daily reports (daily journal, sales/credit card report and over/short).
  • Review cashier reports to find cash over/shorts.
  • Apply payments as they are received.
  • Pick up mail daily and distribute to the appropriate people.
  • Turn in credit applications to central office.
  • Print off Do It Best invoices daily from DIB website.
  • Enter all materials that come in from packing slips.
  • Invoice all orders that are received. Help resolve issues with purchase orders before sending to central office.
  • Write the inventory receipt number on all DIB and vendor invoices and scan and email to central office daily.
  • Attach PO bar code sticker to all packing slips and scan into Spruce system.
  • Order office supplies for store.
  • Keep rewards cards up to date in Spruce system and on the Do It Best website.
  • Check email frequently throughout the day and correspond as needed.
  • Run cash register as needed.
  • Help customers on the sales floor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This position will mostly be indoors at our store but occasionally may walk outside to the yard to get information from employees. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; read, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Weekdays, Mon – Fri.

Travel:

Daily to bank and/or post office. Travel between our Frankfort and Lebanon stores.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED diploma or one to three years of related experience or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of office management/reception experience a plus.
  • 1+ years of Retail experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and transportation.
