Job description

PURPOSE/FUNCTION/SUMMARY (TRAINING NEEDS)


Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, including Haas and Daewoo machines with live tooling and Y-axis capability.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Verifies that all product produced meets customer specifications and is in accordance with Company quality standards.


· Performs advanced set-up and operation of CNC lathes, including Haas and Daewoo machines.

· Programs from print, edits programs at the control, and selects proper tooling and work holding.

· Sets up and runs live-tooling and Y-axis lathe work, including drilling, milling, tapping, and related operations.

· Reads blueprints, uses gages, verifies dimensions, and ensures parts meet customer and Company quality standards.

· Works independently as a self-starter to keep machines running, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production flow.

· Provides assistance to co-workers as needed, in the spirit of teamwork, with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer requirements.

· All other duties as assigned by a supervisor.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED


· Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Experience/Skills: Minimum 5 years of CNC lathe set-up and operating experience required. Must have experience with live tooling, Y-axis lathes, and programming from print. Haas and Daewoo experience strongly preferred. Must be able to work independently and keep machines running with limited supervision.
