Job description

We are currently seeking experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operators to join the team at Post Oak Landfill in Luling, TX. Previous landfill or waste experience would be a hugeplus, but willing to train the right candidate.

The position is a Day Shift working Monday through Friday start time 6am-5:30pm with occasional Saturdays working 45-55 hours a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform Maintenance around the site and facilities as needed

  • Spreading and compacting trash using a Compactor

  • Spreading daily cover using a Dozer

  • Excavating soil using an Excavator

  • Hauling soil

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience driving forklift, dozer, or articulated dump truck preferred

  • Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility

  • Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily

  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
