Project Manager - D365 & Workday

Dallas, TX โ€ข Hybrid

Full-time

Re-posted 18 days ago

Job description

D365 F&O + Workday PM — Dallas (hybrid role)

Own the IT side of two projects running in parallel for a US manufacturer: a live D365 F&O environment with a healthy enhancement backlog, and a Workday HCM rollout triggered by a recent acquisition that's about to double the size of the business.

The Workday side already has an HRIS PM leading the HR workstream. Your job is the IT counterpart — coordinating integrations, security, admin-level access, and interface work, and holding your own with the Workday SI partner where their approach needs pushing back on. Roughly 15-20 hours a week.

The rest of your time goes into D365 F&O enhancements alongside the MS Dynamics implementation partner, sat inside the PMO with a full backlog to pick up.

Details:

Start date: ASAP

Location: Dallas preferred, within 2 hours acceptable

Contract: 40 hrs/week, ongoing

Initial duration: 6 months with likelihood of extension

Rate: $90-$110/hr c2c

Key Requirements:

  • Run D365 F&O projects end-to-end, with credibility across Manufacturing, WMS/AWM, and Finance
  • Coordinate integrations, security, and interface work between an ERP and a separate HCM system
  • Enough Workday awareness to challenge an SI partner's decisions rather than take notes
  • Sit inside the PMO, own the enhancement backlog, and pick up new D365 projects as they come in
  • Read the room in a post-acquisition environment where your role wasn't part of the original plan

Nice to Have:

  • Prior work on acquisition integrations or HR system consolidations
  • Familiarity with Legacy-to-D365 migrations
  • Comfortable working in a templated implementation methodology (roughly 70-80% pre-built, fitting the last 20-30%)

This is a client that moves fast, has budget approved, and has proven they hire quickly when they meet the right person.
