At QXO, we're building a world-class commercial organization-and Learning & Talent Development plays a critical role in making that happen. As a Lead Associate, Learning & Talent Development, you'll serve as a strategic partner to sales leaders, helping shape the capabilities, programs, and learning strategies that enable our field sales teams to succeed.

This is not a traditional instructional design or facilitation role. You'll work directly with business leaders to understand evolving priorities, assess organizational needs, and determine when learning is the right solution to drive performance. From there, you'll lead the strategic design of learning initiatives, partner with instructional designers and facilitators to bring programs to life, and ensure every solution is aligned with business objectives, sales strategy, and organizational growth.

This role can be based in multiple locations (with the preference of Coppell, Atlanta, Jacksonville or Denver, but open to candidates in other metro-markets. 

What you will do:

Partner with sales leadership to develop and implement learning strategies that directly support outside/field sales and waterproofing sales teams. Execute the learning strategy, aligning programs with evolving go-to-market strategies, customer segmentation, and product/service offerings to ensure sales teams are prepared and competitive. Forecasting annual programs to meet organization growth, developing strategic roadmaps and performing organizational risk analysis. Recommend and support the design and facilitation of blended learning programs tailored to the sales organizations and various sales roles. Develop tailored leadership development pathways and upskilling initiatives for sales managers and high-potential talent within sales functions. Utilize data-driven insights and sales performance analytics to assess learning effectiveness and optimize content, delivery methods, and reinforcement. Collaborate with the business on current/upcoming initiatives that may/may not require training interventions. Once determination is made there is a need for training, this role owns the strategic program design and delivery recommendations, creating detailed high-level designs, securing approval from the business and maintains program management. Lead and execute on the corporate learning and development strategies, programs, curriculum, and learning processes, on behalf of the sales organization. Interface and collaborate with sales leadership in the development and implementation of technology-based learning initiatives, that are aligned, efficient, and effective, in relation to the business strategy.

What you will bring:

7-10+ years of experience in learning, including instructional design, facilitation, delivery methodologies, adult learning theory and current training methods, as well as needs/job task analysis and talent development. Prior leadership experience is preferred. 5+ years in a sales or sales support role, with an adept understanding of sales practices, selling methodologies, value-proposition alignment, prospecting processes, and go-to-market strategies. 5+ years or substantial experience in the building materials, construction, or distribution industry. A keen understanding of the unique workforce and commercial dynamics in this sector.

Strong understanding of sales environments with direct experience supporting or working in outside/field sales role. Project management experience, managing multiple portfolios or programs, with enterprise-wide implementations amongst stakeholders at various levels. Experience partnering with sales leadership to align learning strategies with revenue growth goals, sales enablement, and customer engagement outcomes. Exceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills in complex, fast-paced environments. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, Oracle), Salesforce or other CRM platforms and a clear understanding of how sales data and systems integrate into learning and performance strategies.
