ASCP Cytotechnologist
Full-Time | Day Shift | Competitive Pay
Schedule: Mon - Fri | 7a - 3:30p with rotating wknd, holiday, on-call | 40 Hour Work Week
MLR is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cytotechnologist to join a high-performing laboratory team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in clinical laboratory technology to perform, analyze, and report tests that support efficient laboratory operations and deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include performing quality control tests, troubleshooting instrument failures, and preparing, staining, and screening cytologic specimens. You will diagnose gynecologic cytology smears (PAP smears), screen and diagnose non-gynecologic samples, and collaborate with supervisors and pathologists on atypical cases.
Cytotech Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or a related field required.
  • CT (ASCP) certification required.**
  • Proficiency in cyto-preparation, staining, and cover slipping for cytologic specimens.
  • Previous clinical background required.**
  • Ability to troubleshoot instrument failures and QC issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
