Job description

Cyber Defense Analyst Salary Range: $105,000 to $120,000 per year Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst (CDA) to support DLIFLC at the Presidio of Monterey, CA. The CDA uses data from cyber defense tools (IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze security events, mitigate threats, and strengthen the organization's security posture. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities Analyze and interpret security events using data from cyber defense tools. Identify and respond to potential threats; participate in incident response. Maintain continuous monitoring of network traffic and security alerts.

Collaborate with IA, network, and systems teams to implement effective defense strategies. Required Qualifications AA/AS from an accredited college or university, OR 3+ years of equivalent technical experience. Active IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) plus applicable CE/OS certification.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, ACAS, Palo Alto Networks, GitLab, and BurpSuite. Working knowledge of macOS, iPadOS, Windows, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. U.S

Citizenship. Desired Qualifications BA/BS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. GCIH, GCIA, or CySA+ certification.

SOC or CSIRT experience in a DoD environment. Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
