AI-Powered Cyber Defense Product Sales Engineer

The Opportunity:

Join a team delivering next-generation AI-powered cyber defense solutions that transform how Security Operations Centers (SOCs) detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you'll serve as the technical lead throughout the sales lifecycle, partnering with account executives to understand customer challenges, demonstrate product capabilities, and design solutions that improve cyber defense operations.

You'll engage directly with SOC analysts, incident responders, security architects, CISOs, and technical leadership across federal, defense, intelligence, and commercial organizations. From technical discovery and live demonstrations to proof-of-concepts and architecture discussions, you'll help customers modernize their cyber operations using AI, automation, and advanced security analytics.

Working closely with product management and engineering teams, you'll translate customer feedback into product improvements while helping shape go-to-market strategies for a rapidly growing AI cybersecurity portfolio.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity products or platforms in a customer-facing technical role such as a sales engineer, solutions engineer, or security engineer

  • Experience supporting enterprise SOCs, Network Operations Centers (NOCs), or Cyber Defense Centers, and with cybersecurity technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, XDR, EDR, NDR, threat intelligence, attack surface management, or security analytics platforms

  • Experience presenting and demonstrating cybersecurity platforms to technical and executive audiences, including product demonstrations, architecture reviews, workshops, or proof-of-concepts

  • Experience supporting incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics, malware analysis, reverse engineering, vulnerability management, or cyber defense operations, and integrating cybersecurity products with enterprise security ecosystems using APIs, automation workflows, or common security standards

  • Knowledge of AI-enabled security operations, security automation, autonomous investigations, or analyst-assist technologies

  • Knowledge of modern enterprise security architectures, including cloud security, identity, Zero Trust, or hybrid environments

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to SOC analysts, security engineers, architects, CISOs, and executive leadership, and partner closely with product management and engineering teams to communicate customer requirements, competitive intelligence, and product feedback

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to support customer engagements, demonstrations, industry conferences, and technical workshops

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience supporting federal civilian, Department of Defense, or Intelligence Community cybersecurity organizations

  • Experience with platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk Enterprise Security, Google SecOps, Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM/XSOAR, CrowdStrike Falcon, SentinelOne, Elastic Security, Wiz, Andesite, or comparable SOC technologies

  • Experience with AI-assisted security operations platforms, autonomous SOC capabilities, or agentic AI for cyber defense

  • Experience supporting RFPs, technical proposals, competitive evaluations, or capture activities

  • Experience presenting at cybersecurity conferences, customer workshops, or executive briefings

  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, or other cyber operations frameworks

  • Industry Certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GCFE, GNFA, CEH, Security+, Splunk Certified Consultant, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect, or similar Technical Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
