Description:

The University of Houston Law Center (UHLC) invites applicationsfor a tenured Associate or Full Professor position in health law tobegin in the Fall 2027 term. The successful candidate may also beeligible for a chair or professorship depending on experience andqualifications.

Applicants for the position must hold a J.D. degree (or theequivalent) and have an excellent record of health law scholarship,have made substantial scholarly contributions to that specificdiscipline, possess a strong teaching record, and have a recordthat demonstrates a proven commitment to service indicating successas a future member of the community of the University of HoustonLaw Center (UHLC) and the University of Houston (UH) more broadly.Rank at the time of appointment will be made based on academic andscholarly record.

This position requires teaching coverage in upper-level health lawcourses. Willingness to teach elsewhere in the UHLC curriculum,including 1L courses or other courses covered on the bar exam, isalso a positive factor. The successful candidate may be eligiblefor a chair or professorship depending on experience andqualifications. The successful candidate will also be affiliatedwith the UHLC's top-ranked Health Law & Policy Institute (HLPI)(https://www.law.uh.edu/healthlaw/).
