As an Associate Energy Marketing Analyst, you will launch your career in the dynamic world of energy marketing, power trading, natural gas scheduling, and wholesale energy markets while helping support reliable, cost-effective electricity for the communities we serve. This entry-level role combines hands-on training with meaningful work, giving you the opportunity to build technical, analytical, and commercial expertise alongside experienced professionals. What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with experienced power marketers, natural gas traders, system operators, and business partners to support daily energy market operations.
  • Learn and apply power scheduling, transaction management, electronic tagging, and natural gas scheduling processes across wholesale energy markets.
  • Monitor, validate, and maintain operational, market, transmission, fuel, and transaction data to support reporting, forecasting, settlements, and business decisions.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and market analyses that provide valuable insights for department leadership and commercial decision-making.
  • Partner with internal teams to investigate discrepancies, improve reporting processes, and support accounting, settlements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of energy markets, trading practices, transmission operations, and commercial analytics through structured training and hands-on experience.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, energy management, data analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information while following data governance and cybersecurity standards.

Preferred

  • Internship, coursework, or project experience related to energy markets, finance, economics, engineering, or analytics.
