Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Kansas City, MO that is looking for a Cybersecurity Manager for an onsite, direct hire opportunity.
Summary:
The Cybersecurity Manager collaborates with various teams and vendors to implement changes, updates, and resolve issues effectively. The manager ensures compliance with industry regulatory policies and procedures and prepares comprehensive reports and analyses on the systems. Furthermore, the manager provides strategic vision and direction to manage the organization's risk, ensuring business alignment, effective governance, and maintaining the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of systems and products.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direction for the company's data and cybersecurity protection and oversee technology governance and policies
* Develop the company's IT security strategy, security awareness programs, security architecture, and security incident response
* Provide strategic risk guidance for IT initiatives, including evaluating and recommending technical controls
* Inform business leaders about security risks and mitigation strategies
* Collaborate with IT and business compliance teams as needed and coordinate the IT component of internal and external audits, as well as federal and state examinations, to ensure security programs follow relevant laws, regulations, and policies
* Plan and oversee the IT security budget, resources, and projects
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and partners
* Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and trends and recommend solutions to improve IT security functions and effectiveness
* Ensure adherence to IT security policies, standards, and best practices
* Train and mentor team members to improve IT security culture and awareness
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
* Experience managing others, providing solution designs and operational excellence
* Strong knowledge of IT security best practices
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Demonstrated leadership in driving a culture of continuous improvement and Innovation
* Working technical knowledge of industry standards for IT security controls
* Ability to solve difficult problems in a complicated setting
Preferred Requirements:
* Experience with ISO and NIST security frameworks
* Certifications in security standards (ISC2 CC, ISC2 SSCP, Microsoft SC-xx)
* Broad hands-on knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, and industry-standard practices
* In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including MS Windows, Linux, and Mac OS
* Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and other networking protocols
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
