Job description

Summary

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer II with deep technical range to join a dynamic development team. This role spans on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure โ€” designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions with C#, .NET, and React, in an organization that takes modern development practices seriously across every environment it runs in.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using C#, .NET, and React across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Contribute to architectural design, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Build APIs, microservices, and front-end components, ensuring seamless front-end/back-end integration.
  • Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) to design and deploy hybrid and cloud-native solutions.
  • Implement DevOps and CI/CD best practices for smooth, automated deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application performance, security, and availability issues across environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, giving constructive feedback and upholding code quality standards.
  • Stay current on cloud and hybrid development trends and bring them into the team's practices.
  • Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to keep application environments stable, secure, and performant.
  • Lead the transition of applications from on-premises to cloud or hybrid architectures, working with senior IT leadership on migration strategy.
  • Ensure governance and performance monitoring across environments, proactively flagging optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure applications comply with industry regulations and internal security standards (SOX, PCI-DSS, and other financial-sector regulations).
  • Partner with the cybersecurity team to secure applications against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement audit, risk assessment, and disaster recovery procedures for critical applications.
  • Ensure QA processes meet relevant standards (ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Develop and maintain test documentation โ€” test plans, cases, scripts, and data management.
  • Implement traceability between test cases and requirements, with automated defect tracking/reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer with strong C# and .NET skills.
  • Experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework.
  • Solid experience with a cloud platform โ€” Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automated deployments.
  • Experience with Git and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Proficiency in on-premises, hybrid, and cloud system development.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and scalable, distributed API design.
  • Strong grounding in software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills on complex technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or AWS Certified Developer.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud strategies and solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and related CI/CD tooling.
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, MongoDB).
