Senior CSfC Cybersecurity Engineer
Washington, D.C.
Job Summary:
IT Veterans is currently seeking a Senior CSfC Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team.ย  You must have an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to gain and maintain a CI poly.
Job Details:
  • Design, implement, and maintain CSfC-compliant Data-at-Rest (DAR) and Data-in-Transit (DiT) solutions in alignment with NSA capability package requirements
  • Integrate and validate CSfC technologies, including encryption solutions, secure tunneling, and cross-domain capabilities
  • Conduct validation and compliance activities to ensure adherence to CSfC requirements, STIGs, and applicable security controls
  • Support secure system operations, continuous monitoring, and incident response efforts within classified environments
  • Implement and manage security monitoring tools, including SIEM platforms, to enhance visibility and threat detection
  • Participate in Agile processes, technical reviews, and system architecture discussions
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to cybersecurity, networking, and encryption technologies
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts, risks, and mitigation strategies to both technical teams and government stakeholders
  • Deliver high-quality solutions with precision and accountability in mission-critical settings
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through technical expertise and reliable execution
Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI poly.
  • Minimum of 7 years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on CSfC implementation experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying secure communication solutions in compliance with NSA CSfC standards
  • Hands-on experience implementing CSfC capability packages and protection profile requirements
  • Experience developing compliant DAR and DiT architectures using layered commercial solutions
  • Strong background in encrypted communications, including tunneling, key management, and secure transport mechanisms
  • Experience with security monitoring, incident detection, and integration with SIEM platforms
  • Ability to quickly contribute in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment with minimal onboarding
Certifications
  • Required: Security+ and CySA+, GSEC, or equivalent
  • Must meet DoD 8140 requirements aligned to the Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist (521) work role
  • Acceptable certifications include: Security+, SSCP, CySA+, PenTest+, CASP+, GCIH, CISSP, or GSLC
Education
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
