Job description

Markesman group is searching for a skilled Cyber Engineer I to join our dynamic offensive cyber team in Annapolis Junction, MD If you have a passion for developing cutting-edge embedded software for offensive cyber operations and possess expertise in vulnerability exploitation and security, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy embedded software for offensive cyber operations, utilizing tools and methods such as static and dynamic analysis, fuzzing, reverse engineering, and exploit development.
  • Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in embedded software, firmware, protocols, and hardware components of various embedded systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and tools in embedded systems security and offensive cyber operations.
  • Collaborate with other offensive cyber team members and clients to deliver high-quality and mission-aligned cyber capabilities.
  • Document and report the technical details and results of offensive cyber operations.

Requirements:

  • TS/SCI DoD Clearance
  • At least 0-3 years of experience in embedded software engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using various embedded software development tools and frameworks.
    • C or C++, Assembly
  • Familiarity with various embedded systems architectures, platforms, and protocols.
  • Knowledgeable in software security, reverse engineering, debugging, and exploit development.
  • Experience working with Layer 2 and 3 network devices
  • Preferred experience with tools such as Cobalt Strike or similar penetration testing tools
  • Experience in working on offensive cyber operations, or a related field, such as penetration testing, vulnerability research, or exploit development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
