Job description

Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.
Entarian is seeking an experienced Cyber Analyst to support cybersecurity assessment, analysis, risk management, and defensive cyber operations for mission-critical information systems. The Cyber Analyst is responsible for evaluating system security posture, identifying vulnerabilities, assessing cyber risks, and supporting the implementation of security controls to ensure compliance with government cybersecurity requirements. This role works closely with ISSMs, ISSOs, ISSEs, SOC personnel, system administrators, engineers, and government stakeholders to strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting Department of Defense or federal cybersecurity programs involving space systems, mission operations, communications networks, cloud environments, or enterprise IT capabilities.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments, risk analyses, and security reviews of information systems and networks.
  • Analyze vulnerabilities, security findings, and threat intelligence to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support implementation and assessment of security controls in accordance with RMF, NIST, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
  • Perform security compliance reviews, configuration assessments, and system security evaluations.
  • Support vulnerability management activities, including remediation tracking and validation.
  • Assist with incident analysis, forensic data collection, and response activities as required.
  • Develop cybersecurity documentation including risk assessments, security reports, compliance artifacts, and technical analyses.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and cybersecurity teams to resolve security findings and improve system security.
  • Monitor cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
  • Prepare cybersecurity briefings, reports, and recommendations for program leadership and government stakeholders.

Salary range: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting cybersecurity analysis, risk management, vulnerability assessment, or security compliance activities.
  • Experience with NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
  • Experience conducting vulnerability assessments, security analysis, or cybersecurity compliance reviews.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, security monitoring, and risk assessment tools.
  • DoD 8140 (or legacy DoD 8570) compliant certification such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, assessments, and operational activities.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, U.S. Space Force, or other federal cybersecurity programs.
  • Experience supporting RMF authorization packages, ATO activities, or continuous monitoring programs.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability management tools, ACAS, Nessus, or SCAP Compliance Checker.
  • Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or hybrid cloud security.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, MITRE ATT&CK, and DISA cybersecurity guidance.
  • Experience supporting classified environments and mission-critical systems.
  • Certifications such as CySA+, CISSP, CAP, GCIH, GCIA, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting space systems, SATCOM, mission operations, or enterprise network environments.
