Job description

Job Summary:
SAIC is seeking a talented developer with expertise in cybersecurity to tackle complex technical challenges. The Senior Cyber Capabilities Developer will lead the development of advanced cyber capabilities, design and implement secure cyber tools, and provide technical mentorship while ensuring compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of advanced cyber capabilities to meet operational challenges and address emerging threats
• Design, implement, and test secure and high-performance cyber tools for integration into larger systems
• Apply innovative approaches and creative problem-solving to address technical obstacles and optimize solutions throughout the development lifecycle
• Analyze complex systems and conceive out-of-the-box strategies to overcome capability gaps or technical constraints
• Drive the resolution of technical challenges by proposing and implementing effective, innovative solutions
• Oversee testing, refinement, and demonstrations of cyber capabilities, ensuring compliance with security and performance standards
• Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate and deploy cyber tools in dynamic operational environments
• Create technical documentation, including user guides, test reports, and analysis results, to support stakeholders and ensure clear communication
• Maintain a thorough understanding of emerging cybersecurity technologies and guide their incorporation into innovative solutions
• Ensure projects comply with modern cybersecurity best practices, DoD security policies, and industry standards
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more related experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required
• Relevant DoD 8140 (DoD 8570) certification
• Advanced Python programming skills and hands-on coding experience with tools such as AWS and GitLab
• Broad experience in the development, testing, and deployment of operational cyber tools and secure systems
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges with creative and innovative approaches
• Clear understanding of secure development best practices, vulnerability management, and exploitation techniques
• Familiarity with DoD or related operational applications and their technical environments
Preferred:
• Knowledge of advanced cybersecurity architectures and frameworks
• Experience leading the integration of custom-developed solutions into secure systems or operational environments
• Expertise in vulnerability analysis, secure coding principles, and/or offensive/defensive cyber strategies
• Ability to deliver technical demonstrations, perform evaluations, and communicate technical concepts effectively to stakeholders
• A track record of mentoring and guiding technical teams in development efforts
