  • Location: 200 Myrtle St, New Britain CT, 06053
  • Shift: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Pay: $17.25/hourly

CW is seeking a dependable and safety-minded Material Handler & Forklift Driver to join our team in a fast-paced production setting. In this role, you will help keep materials moving efficiently throughout the facility, ensuring production teams have what they need while maintaining an organized and accessible workspace.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials throughout the facility.
  • Transport raw materials and finished goods to designated production, storage, or shipping areas in a timely manner.
  • Stage and organize materials to support efficient production workflows and minimize delays.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by tracking, labeling, and verifying materials during movement and storage.
  • Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance or safety concerns to ensure safe operation.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling, stacking, and securing of materials.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking incoming shipments, ensuring materials are stored correctly.
  • Support production teams by ensuring materials are readily available and replenished as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material movement and prioritize tasks.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production plant, manufacturing, shipping, receiving, or material handling environment.
  • Ability and willingness to learn to safely operate a forklift and obtain required certification.
  • Basic inventory, labeling, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and proper equipment operation.
  • Valid driver's license.
