Job description

Overview:

There are 3 Cath Labs at UF Health's Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. The Director is a servant-leader at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and he is dedicated to the success of his team and the people of his community. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated. The benefit about working here is that you will truly learn and acquire valuable experience, as there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. Our Cath Labs offer state-of-art technology and medical devices.

Responsibilities:

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.This position shift will be:

  • 7am-7pm =3 12 hours shifts + On-Call (1 night a week and 1 weekend a mo approximately every 3rdor 4thweekend=Fri night close of business to Mon 6 am)
  • Must report w/in 30 min.
Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
    • In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years' experience and:
      • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)OR
      • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
    • If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:

FL Certified Radiologic Technologist licenseOR

FL Registered Respiratory Therapist licenseOR

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) CertificationOR

Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification

any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
