Cardiovascular Technologist / RCIS / Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities
  • The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction of the director or charge person, is responsible for monitoring procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies.
  • The CVT ensures safe patient care and functions as a scrub assistant.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate’s degree or higher.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (required within 12 months of hire) OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire).
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    • FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred).
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
