IBT curriculum is also reviewed on a regular basis by industry professionals to ensure that students are learning relevant information in their chosen fields of study JOB DESCRIPTION The Program Instructor provides collaborative leadership to students within the Cardiovascular Sonography program and serves as the liaison between students and college staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Teach department's curriculum and oversee new development
• Assist Admissions with product knowledge
• Implement retention programs
• Create student engaging teaching methods to achieve high student/graduate success
• Work with instructors and students to maximize student's readiness for job placement
• Stay informed of industry standards and incorporate into program offerings accordingly Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Understanding of educational environments including needs of adult learners
• Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment
• Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which students are enrolled

• The equivalent of three years minimum full-time clinical experience as a cardiac (echo) sonographer, and/or vascular technologist; and
• An academic degree, not lower than an associate degree, and at least equal to that for which the students in the program are being prepared.
