Job Summary Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development‐focused role designed to prepare candidates for a CVS Store Manager position. The SMIT program includes a 16‐week self‐paced, collaborative training that blends virtual and hands‐on learning experiences. Team Support The SMIT path is supported by a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach. Key Skills Communicate verbally and in writing to lead and support the team. Perform customer care duties to deliver high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Responsibilities During SMIT Actively engage with leaders in Key Learning Experiences to support the path to promotion. Support the store as a management team member and lead consistently with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues in alignment with the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market in which one works. Promotion Eligibility Selection for SMIT does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager. Promotion depends on performance and availability of openings, and the individual may be promoted to any location within the designated market. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (required). College degree preferred or relevant work experience in retail management or as a CVS supervisor. Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager. Ability to transfer among CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Employment Details Anticipated weekly hours: 45 Time type: Full time Pay Range Base hourly rate: $18.50 – $28.67. Actual offer depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
