Job description

RQ Construction is actively seeking experienced Construction Project Managers (PMs) to support our Field Operations team on projects located on the base in Norfolk, Virginia and nearby areas. The Project Manager will oversee every phase of construction projects, from initial planning and design through final completion, while supporting the company's Mission, Vision, and Values. Candidates local to the region are encouraged to apply; however, travel or relocation for project site management may be required.

Founded in 1996, RQ Construction, LLC has grown from a prominent Southern California Design-Build contractor into a nationally recognized organization with projects across the United States as well as international locations. We provide comprehensive design-build and construction management services with field teams assigned directly to project locations nationwide. Our expertise centers on fast-paced commercial construction projects for government and private-sector clients, with a strong emphasis on Department of Defense work.

Compensation
$110,000 - $170,000 annually

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline required; equivalent combinations of field experience and training may also be considered
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial construction project management experience required
  • At least 6 years of progressing experience serving as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or in a comparable construction management role required
  • Prior experience within the design-build construction industry is preferred
  • Computer proficiency Microsoft Office applications and internet-based systems
  • Familiarity with Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM, or Revit software preferred
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 certifications required (training available if necessary)
  • STS certification preferred
  • LEED Green Associate (GA) or Accredited Professional (AP/AP+) credentials are a plus
