Job description

Austin Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center is seeking experienced Emergency Veterinarians to provide relief coverage.
We're looking for doctors who are confident in ER medicine, able to jump in and work independently, and interested in picking up consistent relief shifts each month.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative team while maintaining flexibility in your schedule.
About AVES:
Locally managed by one of the original founders, Lindsay Vaughn, DVM, DACVECC, AVES is a progressive, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary veterinary hospital that has experienced exponential growth since its inception which is continuing with the opening of our second location late 2025!
Located less than three miles from our current location, our brand new 45,000 square feet will serve as our inpatient facility and will introduce specialty services, like radiation oncology, which will provide us with the ability to offer integrated oncology services to our patients. Our current specialties include: Internal Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Surgery, Neurology, Critical Care, Medical Oncology, Anesthesiology, and Diagnostic Imaging, with the use of ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, x-ray, and high-flow oxygen. We partner with CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets to provide Cardiology services to our hospitalized patients. We anticipate rehabilitation, dermatology and ophthalmology services to join our outpatient facility once both hospitals are in operation.
If you're a local veterinarian looking for a consistent, rewarding relief opportunity, we'd love to connect with you!
Please email Linsey Beckner at Linsey.Beckner@ethosvet.com for more information.
Ethos Veterinary Health, part of the NVA Group, is where you come to practice world-class medicine, and help shape what veterinary care becomes next.
Across our network of 140 specialty and emergency hospitals, science moves forward, standards are elevated, and innovation is put into practice every day. You'll work alongside respected veterinary leaders in academic-caliber hospitals designed for learning, teaching, and discovery.
Here, mentorship is a two-way street. You'll share your expertise, learn from others, and continue to grow, clinically, professionally, and personally.
At Ethos, you inspire hope, deliver exceptional care, and pursue veterinary medicine at its highest level, together.
Benefits for this role may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), retirement benefits, paid time off (including sick leave and vacation), short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance.
