Summary
The CVA Service Supervisor is responsible for the performance of the CVA service department - including operations, revenues, expenses, profitability, assets, budgeting and financial management.
Essential Functions
  • Manage day-to-day performance of CVA employees.
  • Manage pending workload distribution, WIP, contract enrollments and parts only CVAs on daily basis to meet department goals.
  • Create safe, positive work environment for employees.
  • Accountability for department's financial performance and statements.
  • Assist Manager in creating goals and performance standards for department.
  • Perform mid-year and annual performance evaluation reviews for assigned employees.
  • Maintain customer contacts for CVA Department.
  • Establish customer requirements to provide best service possible.
  • Communicate all requirements and options to customer (including quotations, labor, parts and truck charges).
  • Ensure customers invoice is clear and precise and is "as expected" in relation to pricing.
  • Communicate and schedule repairs for Preventative Maintenance services.

Technician & Dispatcher Contact Responsibilities:
  • Enforce safety practices and lead by example to support a strong safety culture.
  • Set clear job expectations and communicate requirements to Dispatchers, Technicians.
  • Manage daily workflow process to meet or exceed department benchmarks.
    • LLC, Std Job Usage, NLS, Tech Productivity, PM Accuracy
  • Promote professional appearance of service dept. employees and service trucks.
  • Promote professional appearance of Parts Only CVA filter kits being shipped to customers or prepped in warehouses for customer pickup.
  • Manage daily processes to ensure procedures are followed correctly.
    • CAT Inspects, CX Call Reviews, Parts Orders, ServiceLink Work Orders
  • Engage Dispatchers, Technicians in Career Development training.

Shift Responsibilities
  • Monday - Friday 7:00am -5:00pm
  • After hours emergency calls as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma with approximately 10 years of heavy equipment experience with at least 3 years of management/supervisor experience.
  • Previous management/supervisor experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; be able to interact with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Self-directed, personable, service oriented individual with technical aptitudes.
  • Able to understand and manage financial statements to achieve performance goals.

Computer Skills
Highly preferred to be proficient with ServiceLink, Equipment Monitoring Toolkit, DBS systems as well as Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
