Position Description: ANPC is a global supplier of precision approach guidance and area surveillance solutions aimed at improving the safety and capacity of civil and military aviation for customers on all seven continents. Our transponder-based solutions are designed to serve airfields where others cannot. We are a team of extraordinary professionals working together to perform an important mission to uniquely serve airports with terrain, obstacles and other challenges that no other business can provide. We are recruiting for candidates willing to live and work in the Hood River, Oregon area. This is not a remote eligible position.Job SummaryJoin our dynamic team as a Field Services Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting ANPC’s cutting-edge Transponder Landing System (TLS). In this exciting position, you'll engage with customers to ensure correct equipment positioning and installation. You'll execute Factory Acceptance Tests, oversee on-site installations and configurations, execute Site Acceptance Tests, support system flight checks and provide remote support to ensure optimal system performance.Your expertise will be vital in training airport personnel and pilots, assisting with regulatory approvals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues. With opportunities for data analysis and hands-on involvement in production builds, this role offers a unique chance to contribute to innovative aviation solutions. Training available.This full-time position is based in Hood River, Oregon, and requires extensive travel (25-30% of workdays) for periods of 1-3 weeks.Essential Job Functions? Assist with production builds and testing, updating relevant documentation.? Execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), oversee system installation and configuration on-site, and conduct system calibration, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and flight checks.? Train customer personnel in the installation, maintenance and operation of the ANPC products.? Monitor installed system status and provide remote support to customer staff via service call and emails.? Document customer feedback, conduct process evaluations, manage Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA), resolve customer problem reports and complete service resolution documentation.? Perform data analysis and generate system usage reports, tracking reliability and maintainability metrics.? Collaborate with product management, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve customer issues.? Manage the configuration and operation of the company test site in Dallesport, WA.? Assist customers with application/setup for transmit approval and frequency licenses.? Process airport information from online sources and sales representatives, utilizing Google Earth for equipment positioning proposals.Education and Work Experience Requirements? Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communication Engineering, or IT. Relatable experience in ILS or Radar can substitute for a Bachelor’s.? 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, electronics, IT, logistics or field services operations.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics? Experience in network troubleshooting.? Background in Electronics or Communications.? Ability to travel 30% of the time.? Ability to train customers in product operation and maintenance.? Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities.? Familiarity with general test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power meters, digital voltmeters (DVM), and other related instruments.? Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.? Ability to write clear routine reports and correspondence.? Work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends, to meet contract commitments and service calls.? Proficiency in utilizing the Portable ILS Receiver for training and operational purposes.? Experience in fiber splicing and fiber optic termination.?
