Who We're Looking For:
As a key member of the Supply Chain, Distribution, and Operational Excellence team, the Trade Compliance Specialist II supports compliant, accurate, and timely international movement of goods, ensuring adherence to U.S. and global Customs regulations.
About the Role:
  • Facilitates end-to-end import and export processes to ensure compliant, timely, and accurate inventory movements, including document verification and Customs clearance.
  • Serves as the primary supply chain contact for international logistics issues related to imports and exports.
  • Maintains required import and export records in accordance with U.S. Customs laws and international trade agreements.
  • Classifies goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and determines Country of Origin while coordinating with trade compliance experts as needed.
  • Audits, reconciles, and approves Customs-related invoices and manages logistics from supplier to customer.
  • Supports vendor selection, pricing negotiations, issue resolution, and procedural alignment with internal compliance and logistics requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, Customs, or trade compliance within a global operation.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong interpersonal and customer-service-focused skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SAP, and logistics tracking or inventory software.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international rules governing shipment of medical devices, medical measuring systems, and medical disposable products.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the medical technology manufacturing or distribution industry; FDA experience is highly desirable.
  • U.S. Customs Broker License strongly preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with DOT, ECCN, and GHS compliance requirements for material movements.
  • Experience working with brokers, warehouses, and international transportation providers.
  • Ability to resolve logistics non-conformances and conduct benchmarking for transport and Customs-related costs.
    Participation in import and export compliance training and certification programs.
