  • TEMPORARY POSITION THROUGH END OF YEAR 2026. POSSIBILITY TO BE HIRED ON PERMANENTLY. 

SUMMARY:

Interacts with Buck Knives' customers, visitors, vendors and all other guests in person, over the telephone and via email. Provides general information and answers questions about Buck Knives. Maintains the lobby, museum cleanliness and appearance. Open availability Monday thru Saturday. Required overtime sales events throughout the year.


SALARY DESCRIPTION:

Pay Rate - $16.00 per hour.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

  • Supports the company objectives by providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Conducts factory tours.
  • Operates cash register and processes cash, debit and credit card sale transactions.
  • Keep store clean and organized.
  • Sort and process all incoming mail.
  • Answer all incoming phone calls and answer questions or transfer to the correct person/department.
  • Greet visitors entering the lobby. Determine the reason for their visit, and log them in and provide a guest badge if applicable. Direct customers to the store for shopping and/or factory tours.
  • Provide backup for the Warranty and Factory Store, as needed.
  • Answer Factory Store phone calls and set-up tour dates in Outlook.
  • Welcome Sign for guests.
  • Assist all employment requests.
  • Ability to handle sharp knives and other items.
  • Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, and all Company rules and policies.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Has a pleasant, patient and friendly attitude.
  • Experience using office equipment including multi-line telephone system, fax machine, copy machine, and postage meter.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
  • Strong decision making and analytical abilities.
  • Strong detail orientation and communication/listening skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
