Customer Success Associate

Peterson Cheese is seeking a new Customer Success Associate to support order execution, customer communication, and sales operations. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring accurate order processing, timely responses, and proactive communication to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Order Management
  • Process customer orders, modifications, credits, and special requests accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, inventory, deliveries, and order status.
  • Communicate proactively about substitutions, out-of-stock items, and order changes.
  • Meet established service level expectations for customer responsiveness.
Sales & Operational Support
  • Support Sales Managers by identifying customer trends, sales opportunities, and lost sales activity.
  • Coordinate product sample requests and shipments.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and activity within CRM and order management systems.
  • Assist with routine operational communications, including order confirmations and delivery updates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Purchasing, Warehouse, Accounts Receivable, and Quality Assurance teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Escalate significant customer or operational concerns when appropriate.
  • Support team members and participate in training and development activities.
Qualifications Required
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, order management, or a related role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Experience in specialty food, foodservice, grocery distribution, or perishable products.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Navision, Dynamics, Oracle, or Netsuite.
  • Experience supporting an outside sales team.

  • Compensation - In accordance with Washington state law, the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $24.00 to $28.00 per hour, with the final rate determined by qualifications, skills, and experience.
