Position Summary:
Fabick is redefining how customers buy, rent, service, and support equipment. The Customer Solutions Advisor role was created to remove traditional barriers between sales, rental, parts, and service, creating a simpler and more connected customer experience.
Focused primarily on Compact Construction Equipment (CCE), Building Construction Products (BCP), attachments, rentals, and related support solutions, this role serves as the primary point of contact for customers seeking equipment solutions through a retail-inspired experience. By bringing sales, rental, parts, and service expertise together in a single role, the Advisor helps customers quickly access the equipment, knowledge, and support they need through one trusted relationship.
As customer needs evolve, the Advisor partners with Fabick's specialized sales organization to ensure customers have access to the dedicated expertise, resources, and account management support required for larger equipment purchases, recurring rental programs, fleet development, and long-term equipment lifecycle solutions. The Advisor plays a critical role in customer acquisition and early customer growth, while Territory Representatives, Rental Sales Representatives, and Product Support Sales Representatives support customer expansion and long-term business development.
This role is designed to help Fabick reach and serve a broader range of customers by providing an experience that is approachable, efficient, and focused on customer success while creating opportunities for long-term customer growth within the Fabick organization.
The Customer Solutions Advisor role also serves as a foundational development opportunity within Fabick's commercial organization, providing broad exposure to equipment applications, rental operations, customer support, and consultative sales practices that support future career growth across equipment sales, rental sales, product support sales, power systems, and branch leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for sales, rental, parts, and service inquiries.
  • Deliver a professional, welcoming, and solutions-focused customer experience.
  • Consult with customers regarding equipment purchases, rentals, attachments, and accessories.
  • Recommend equipment packages based on customer applications, utilization requirements, and budget considerations.
  • Educate customers on ownership versus rental options and associated economic considerations.
  • Prepare quotations, financing options, rental agreements, and related documentation.
  • Assist customers with parts identification, ordering, and fulfillment.
  • Coordinate service requests and communicate repair status updates.
  • Maintain customer records and activity within company systems.
  • Support inventory management, equipment readiness, and store presentation.
  • Partner with technicians, yard personnel, and sales specialists to ensure customer success.
  • Actively identify opportunities to transition growing customers to specialized sales resources when appropriate.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Three or more years of experience in equipment sales, equipment rental, construction operations, heavy equipment service, parts sales, industrial distribution, or customer-facing technical sales.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience within construction, equipment rental, industrial, power systems, or related industries preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of compact construction equipment, attachments, rental operations, and equipment applications.
  • Strong consultative selling, customer discovery, and relationship-building skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical product knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM, ERP, and business software systems.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and build long-term customer relationships.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
* Primary work is performed in an office or service facility environment with frequent communication by phone and computer.
* Tasks involve sitting for extended periods, using hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, and reaching with arms.
* Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling may be required, especially when verifying equipment status in the yard or assisting with parts logistics.
* Employees are regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with technicians and customers; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
* Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving parts or equipment files) and safely handle heavier loads up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary.
* Work may occasionally involve exposure to a warehouse or outdoor environment with moderate noise and varying weather conditions; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used as required.
