PLANT SERVICE - Student Worker
Job Classification
Position summary
Assit with repairs, and installs power on H.V.A.C. and Refrigeration equipment in campus housing and university buildings by performing the following duties. Maintains, inspects and installs all heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, fans, vacuum pumps, air compressors, vents, ducts, and pneumatic and DDC control systems on the university campus.
Qualifications summary
Must have current valid driver license. Must be able to wok at least two consecutive hours at a time if not more. Speak fluent English
Duties and responsibilities
Changing filters and belts as needed. Greasing pumps. Maintain air compressors as needed. Clean HVAC equiptment, Assit HVAC technician as needed.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as load, amperage and work , interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in limited standardized situations
