EVS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE PROJECT MULTI-FACILITY MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION 

 

JOB TITLE:  

Environmental Service Project Manager 

DEPARTMENT:  

Environmental Services 

REPORTS TO:  

Senior Regional Director of EVS Operations

  JOB SUMMARY 

The Environmental Service Manager is responsible for:  

  • Upholding Live Well’s mission statement and attending to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. 

  • The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our residents that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation. 

Responsibilities  

A successful Environmental Service Manager will be able to: 

  • Be a working manager with the responsibility of working alongside their staff.

  • Be a hands-on manager physically capable of operating various floor care and cleaning equipment. 

  • Perform a variety of responsibilities to include but not limited to, budget control, payroll, time management, customer service, managing staff and client satisfaction.

  • Team Leadership & Training: Supervise, schedule, and mentor floor/cleaning technicians. Train staff on proper chemical dilution ratios, equipment operation, and safety protocols. 

  • Floor Maintenance & Restoration: Direct and perform routine and restorative care for various floor types (e.g., stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing and cleaning).

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct routine inspections of facility floors to identify issues and ensure work meets both company standards and client expectations. 

  • Inventory & Equipment Management: Manage the ordering, maintenance, and inventory tracking of cleaning supplies, buffers, scrubbers, and industrial floor machines. 

  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety standards and infection control policies, ensuring appropriate signage (e.g., "wet floor") and PPE are used at all times. 

  • Reporting & Coordination: Coordinate with other department managers to schedule floor maintenance with minimal disruption to daily operations. Prepare daily/weekly reports on staff hours, payroll, and project status. 

  • Notify supervisor on any damages, deficits, and disturbance.

  • Deal with responsible complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.  

  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.  

  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety, be aware of any company related practices.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • High school or GED Required

  • Associates & Bachelor’s Degree Preferred 

Requirements 

  • Proven experience with cleaning surfaces and scrubbing floors

  • Ability to work solely independently with little to no supervision 

  • Ability to independently utilize floor cleaning and scrubbing machinery

  • Customer oriented and positive friendly attitude 

  • Prioritization and time management skills 

  • Working quickly without compromising quality 

  • Knowledge of Spoken and Written English language

  • Ability to operate floor scrubbing machines 

Physical Requirements 

  • Standing up 95% of time 

  • Lifting and carrying 20% of time (up to 50 lbs) 

  • Lifting and carrying 10 % of time (50 lbs to 75 lbs) 

  • Pushing and pulling 95% of the time (up to 50 lbs) 

  • Bending, twisting, reaching, etc. 95% of the time 

  • Walking 95% of time 

  • Squatting 75% of time

  • Hip Rotating 95% of time

Exposure

  • Exposure to chemicals both hazardous and caustic, affecting eyes, hands, face lungs, etc. 

  • Exposure to slick and slippery floor surfaces

  • Exposure to warm and/or humid conditions

  • Exposure to cold conditions

  • Exposure to arm and/or body vibration due to machinery

  • Sound levels may be high due to machinery
