Mr. Handyman of Salt Lake, Utah, and Wasatch Counties

Job description

About Us
Locally owned and operated, Mr. Handyman of South Salt Lake, Utah, and Wasatch Counties is in an exciting phase of growth. We deliver reliable, high-quality repair and improvement services to homeowners and businesses alike. We don’t just fix things. We build relationships, solve problems, and earn customer trust one job at a time.

The Role: Part Sales Professional, Part Master Craftsman
This isn’t a straight service delivery role. Your true value comes from your ability to walk into a customer’s home or business, understand their needs, build confidence in your expertise, and sell them solutions, not just patches. We provide qualified leads and scheduling. You provide the professionalism, personality, and selling skill that turns them into closed jobs and five-star reviews.

Who We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience across trades like carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, or light electrical
  • A friendly, confident personality and comfort discussing price, value, and solutions with customers
  • Reliability and initiative. You take responsibility for your work and don’t need hand-holding
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with technology (we use ServiceTitan for scheduling, estimates, invoicing, and customer communication)
  • A clean, well-maintained van, your own basic tools, and a professional appearance
  • Availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend flexibility

You see every customer interaction as a relationship, not a transaction, and you upsell thoughtfully, treating additional work as solving real problems rather than pushing product.

What You’ll Do
  • Complete residential and commercial projects, from small repairs to larger remodels (decks, fences, bathrooms, kitchens, basements)
  • Provide accurate estimates and confidently discuss projects and pricing
  • Own the sales conversation: listen, build trust, and close the work
  • Maintain a clean, organized van and professional appearance every day
  • Use ServiceTitan to manage scheduling, estimates, invoicing, and communication

Compensation & Benefits
This is a commission-based opportunity. We bring the leads, the training, and the full support system. You bring the skill and drive to close the job. There is no ceiling on what a Service Professional can earn here. We reward execution and strong customer rapport, not just hours on the clock.
Posted range: $28.00–$36.00 per hour (required for job board compliance). Actual earnings are performance-based, with commission and bonuses on top.
  • Company vehicle, fuel, and free uniforms
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Bonuses for strong reviews, upsells, and referrals
  • Paid training, with a clear path to advancement
  • Supportive culture where we invest in each other as people, not just as employees

Ready to Apply?
We want skilled, confident professionals who care about customers, take pride in their work, and are hungry to grow. If you can walk into a home or business, build trust, and close work while delivering quality that earns five-star reviews, we want to talk to you.
Apply today and join a team redefining what it means to be a handyman in Utah.
