CUSTOMER SERVICE GATE AGENT

Pay: $18.00/hour
Available Shift: 8:00pm to 1:00am / 3:00am
The Customer Service Gate Agent (CSR) is responsible for tracking vehicles on the ready line with scanning technology to maintain current inventory records. The CSR helps receive and check-in returned rental vehicles as well as control the exit gates. The CSR plays an important role in ensuring customer satisfaction in the daily operation.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strong customer service, both internally and externally.
  • Maintain knowledge of the site and the designated locations of out of service (O/S) vehicles, shop/maintenance vehicles, turn back (T/B) vehicles, return lanes, ready stalls and quick turn area (QTA).
  • Serve as gate attendant at lot exit point as required as well as perform assigned customer check-out tasks as required.
  • Efficiently and correctly operate data entry devices.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area.
  • Operate the motor vehicle in accordance with all company and customer policies and adhere to state motor vehicle laws.
  • Inspect vehicles and ensure specific customer expectations are met on vehicles ready for rental.
  • Meet productivity standards and benchmarks in assigned location.
  • Perform a variety of tracking and counting tasks to keep track of vehicle locations and availability.
  • Track both tasks on productivity sheets and report to management for productivity purposes.
  • Regular attendance according to the FleetLogix policy is required and is an essential function of the position. Employees with attendance issues or excessive tardiness will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Qualifications:
  • Applicant must meet our minimum hiring age, have a valid state issued Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
  • At least 4 years of qualified driving experience.
  • Must pass a background check, drug screening and driver safety skills test.
  • Ideal applicants have open availability, a great work ethic, and are dependable.
  • Ability to communicate with others by both talking and signaling people to convey or exchange information. Includes giving directions to helpers and customers. Must be able to read and interpret street signs/traffic signals and obey traffic rules; as well as read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine logs and reports.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand more than 15 minutes; walk; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Move in and out of cars all day, as well as walking areas exceeding 300 yards multiple times per day.
  • Stand for long periods, bending over repeatedly, as well as kneel, stoop, bend, crouch, or crawl. Use hands; fingers and arms to grasp, reach, stretch, carry, or lift. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
