Job description

Service Technician

Sawgrass Ford is hiring a motivated and hardworking individual to join our modern, climate-controlled state-of-the-art facility.

As a service technician, you are responsible for assessing, diagnosing and performing specified maintenance and repairs with efficiency and accuracy.

Technician Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle maintenance systems
  • Perform thorough check of customer’s car and referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
  • Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management
  • Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
  • Stay current in the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques across a number of brands
  • Participate in service training activities; attend factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Communicate regularly with service advisor/dispatcher to confirm repair order information and diagnostic information.
  • Follow established safety protocols and company policies
  • Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
  • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices in all interactions to uphold Sawgrass Ford’s good image

Job Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Service shop experience preferred
  • Positive attitude and a desire to learn
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Knowledgeable with safe and correct repairs needed for vehicles
  • Ability to communicate with managers and peers
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid driver's license with Clean driving record
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
