Job description

Varstaff is looking for a Inventory Associate - C.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in fulfillment center operations at our Orlando, FL facility. You will handle incoming shipments, manage inventory, operate heavy material-handling equipment, and maintain accurate records within our inventory management system. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will drive continuous improvement by identifying operational roadblocks, supporting root-cause analysis, and maintaining high standards of quality control and safety across all workflow stages.

Shift Details & Schedule

  • Shift: C Shift | Friday – Monday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Work Location: 7650 Amsterdam Dr., Orlando, FL, 32832

What We’re Looking For Education & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Fulfillment Center Operations, specifically within receiving and inventory functions.

  • Experience in inventory counting, receiving, packing, put-away, picking/kitting, or shipping.

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment (PIT) and forklifts in a fulfillment or material handling environment.

  • Strong communication, mathematical, and analytical skills to collect data, solve operational issues, and maintain data accuracy.

Must-Have Skills

  • Equipment Operation: Required prior certified forklift experience and proficiency with heavy machinery/PIT equipment (e.g., electronic pallet jacks, reach-trucks, turret-trucks).

  • Receiving & Quality Control: Ability to unload shipments, visually inspect incoming packages against standard operating procedures (SOPs), and perform required quality control checks per part number.

  • Inventory & Systems Management: Hands-on experience navigating inventory software, conducting storage audits, systematically documenting receipts, and deriving inventory requirements from Bills of Materials (BOM).

  • Packaging, Staging & Marking: Expertise in identifying packaging requirements, wrapping, labeling, marking, sorting, and securely staging materials to prevent loss or damage.

  • Physical & Safety Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and strict adherence to workplace safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)

  • Warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience within the aerospace or automotive industries.
