Driver/Counter/Warehouse Associate

Job Description
The Warehouse/ Counter Associate safely performs daily warehouse functions to help maintain and safe and positive work environment. They also provide exceptional service and creates a positive shopping and sales experience for all customers. The following details are not definitive and subject to change based on organizational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the accuracy of all inbound freight into the building. This includes unloading trucks, checking in freight, putting the product away in its locations, and making sure that all associated paperwork is completed to company standard.
  • Outbound freight including customer orders and branch transfers are to be picked, packed, and checked for accuracy prior to shipments.
  • Each employee is designated an area of the warehouse that must be maintained to company standard on a day-to-day basis. This includes down stocking of product, facing of material, closed boxes, or cut tops, removal of excess plastic. Aisles must be swept of all debris and pallets lined in their locations.
  • Must communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.
  • Ability to manage time in a deadline-driven environment and strong ability to multitask and skill in prioritizing work.
  • Basic math skills are sufficient to manage inventory, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to use computer systems and manual procedures for organizing and identifying products and communicating with coworkers.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with customers

  • Recommend and promote items related to customer's product or application
  • Process customer returns correctly
  • Assist in the warehouse when needed

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
  • Class E License Required
  • Adequate physical strength and stamina to repeatedly lift, carry, move, and set down heavy equipment up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
  • Work efficiently with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse that is not climate controlled.
  • Familiar with dollies, pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Comfortable utilizing a 6 ft ladder while carrying heavy product.
  • Must possess the attitude of wanting to learn and grow with our Company!
