Position Summary

The Executive Business Associate to the President is a high-impact, career-accelerating role designed for a highly motivated early - mid-career professional — an individual with a strong business or technical background with recent MBA who wants broad exposure to executive leadership and company operations.

Serving as a trusted partner to the President, this individual will be immersed in virtually every aspect of the business, supporting strategic initiatives, operational execution, customer engagements, and executive decision-making while also managing key executive administrative responsibilities. This role provides unique visibility into corporate strategy, engineering, sales & marketing, operations, manufacturing, commercial activities, finance, and international business.

The Executive Business Associate will function as an extension of the President, helping drive priorities to completion, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, preparing executive communications and presentations, organizing complex meetings and travel, and ensuring critical actions are executed. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly organized, adaptable, and eager to learn every aspect of a rapidly growing technology company.

This position requires up to 25% domestic and international travel and is ideal for someone seeking an accelerated path toward future leadership opportunities.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Executive Partnership & Business Operations
    • Serve as a trusted business partner and day-to-day extension of the President.
    • Gain exposure to all functional areas of the business, including Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, Operations, Field Services, and Corporate Administration.
    • Support strategic initiatives by coordinating projects, tracking milestones, following up on action items, and ensuring timely execution.
    • Research business issues, analyze data, and prepare recommendations to support executive decision-making.
    • Prepare executive briefings, reports, presentations, dashboards, and business updates.
    • Participate in customer meetings, leadership meetings, and strategic planning sessions as requested.
    • Assist with special projects, technology acquisitions, commercialization initiatives, operational improvements, and other executive priorities.
    • Travel alongside the President as needed to customer sites, conferences, company locations, international offices, and executive meetings.
  • Executive Administration
    • Manage the President's complex calendar, ensuring priorities are aligned and scheduling conflicts are proactively resolved.
    • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, visas, itineraries, and meeting logistics.
    • Manage the President's email by organizing communications, drafting responses, flagging priority items, and ensuring timely follow-up.
    • Prepare and submit expense reports and assist with purchasing and administrative documentation.
    • Coordinate meeting logistics, agendas, presentation materials, minutes, and follow-up actions.
    • Screen incoming requests and communications while exercising sound judgment regarding priorities.
    • Maintain confidential files, documents, and executive correspondence with the highest level of discretion.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Serve as a liaison between the President and company leadership to ensure priorities remain aligned and communication flows effectively.
    • Coordinate information requests across departments and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
    • Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
    • Help remove barriers that impede execution by coordinating stakeholders and escalating issues when appropriate.
    • Build productive relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Communication & Executive Support
    • Draft executive communications, presentations, announcements, and meeting materials.
    • Assist with preparation for leadership meetings, customer presentations, investor and M&A discussions, leadership off-sites, and company events.
    • Represent the President professionally during interactions with employees, customers, partners, vendors, and external stakeholders.
    • Handle confidential business matters with professionalism, maturity, and exceptional judgment.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • MBA strongly preferred (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Internship, consulting, project management, leadership, or operational experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic, military, entrepreneurial, or extracurricular activities is highly desirable.

Working Conditions

Work is performed inside a flex space building consisting of offices, open desk space, laboratory, machine shop, and a manufacturing floor. Level of noise is usually quiet in the office environment and temperature controlled. Noise levels are elevated in the warehouse space where temperatures can vary depending on the outside elements and weather. Travel may be required, including up to 2-8 trips per year to visit suppliers, attend conferences, meetings (customer, investor, and business) and customer sites (hatcheries).
