What Makes This Role Great: In this role, you will be at the heart of our cloud infrastructure evolution, collaborating directly with software development and architecture teams to establish high availability, measure SLOs, and eliminate manual effort through smart, modern automation in AWS GovCloud environment.

Key Exciting Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performing cloud infrastructure across AWS GovCloud and Azure platforms.

  • Architect automated deployment, monitoring, and observability tools to track error budgets and optimize continuous system performance.

  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and build automated incident response systems.

  • Conduct high-impact redundancy, resilience, and failover testing to maintain continuous uptime for mission-critical SaaS and PaaS platforms.

  • Manage security posture and enforce FedRAMP best practices in alignment with Trimble Cloud Core Platform standards.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure public cloud environments.

  • Solid system administration and scripting capabilities in environments like Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Perl.

  • Clear understanding of IT operations, networking, storage, and computing concepts.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities within application operations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a drive to learn new technologies.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform.

  • Familiarity with container platforms including Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.

  • Background working with FedRAMP frameworks, AWS SDK, or directory services like SAML and Active Directory.

  • Practical knowledge of database technologies (RDBMS/NoSQL) and operational tools like Grafana, Sumo, PRTG, or Jira Service Management.

Logistics:

Location: Westminster, CO or Lake Oswego, OR (4 days in office)
