Job description

Customer Program Manager
De Silva Brothers amp; Company | Pico Rivera, CA | Full-Time, On-Site
About Us
De Silva Brothers amp; Company is an ingredient blending and co-packaging company headquartered in Pico Rivera, California. We help food brands grow through a full turnkey offering: blend development and formulation, sourcing, mixing and blending, and custom packaging.
Our services span small-scale formula testing and development, custom blending and mixing under non-disclosure, co-packing and private labeling for both retail and commercial products, wholesale distribution backed by worldwide supplier connections, and retail and food service supply trusted by national supermarket chains.
We carry over 200 varieties of wholesale spices, grains, and herbs โ€” chilis, spices, seeds and grains, and herbs โ€” at competitive pricing. Our facility operates under SQF and HACCP regulated procedures and is devoted to the highest standard in food safety and quality. Packaging options range from small retail pouches to bulk 55-pound containers.
About the Role
We're hiring a Customer Program Manager to own the day-to-day execution behind our largest accounts. These are long-standing relationships that our ownership team has built and continues to lead โ€” your role is to make sure everything behind those relationships runs flawlessly.
This is not a cold-calling sales role. You'll be the operational quarterback for a small number of high-value customers: tracking their orders, monitoring their inventory positions, fielding their requests, collaborating on product costing, and pulling the right internal people in to solve problems before they become problems. You'll work closely with ownership, who remain the primary relationship leads and hold final pricing authority, and with our production, quality, finance, and logistics teams.
The right person is organized, proactive, and takes personal ownership of details. If you like knowing exactly where every order stands and being the person customers trust to get an answer, this role will suit you.
What You'll Do
  • Own end-to-end program management for a small portfolio of major accounts
  • Track and drive order timeliness โ€” monitor open orders, production schedules, and delivery commitments, and flag risks early
  • Oversee customer inventory positions and forecasts; coordinate with production and purchasing to keep supply aligned with demand
  • Serve as the day-to-day operational contact for customer requests, questions, and issues
  • Coordinate across production, QA, and logistics to resolve problems and keep commitments on track
  • Support new product and innovation projects โ€” gather customer requirements, coordinate samples and trials, and shepherd new items through to launch
  • Collaborate on product costing โ€” gather input costs (raw materials, packaging, labor, yield, freight) from purchasing and production, build and maintain cost models, and prepare quote packages for ownership review and approval
  • Monitor cost changes on existing items and flag margin erosion or the need for price adjustments
  • Maintain accurate documentation, specs, forecasts, and account records
  • Prepare regular account status reporting for ownership
  • Partner with ownership on customer meetings, visits, and reviews
What We're Looking For
Required
  • 3+ years in account management, customer program management, planning, supply chain, or customer service in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex customer requirements and multiple concurrent priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and relentless follow-through
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with production, quality, and logistics teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with ERP/order management systems and strong Excel skills, including building and maintaining cost models
  • Comfort working with numbers โ€” costing, margins, yields, and quote build-ups
Preferred
  • Experience in food manufacturing, co-packing, ingredients, or CPG
  • Familiarity with food safety and quality standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP)
  • Exposure to new product development or commercialization processes
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience working with Walmart
Compensation amp; Benefits
  • Base salary: $85,000 โ€“ $90,000, depending on experience
  • Performance bonus tied to service and financial metrics (on-time delivery, fill rate, inventory accuracy, account retention, quote turnaround time, margin performance on managed accounts, and successful new item launches)
  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • 401(k) and 401(k) Match
Why Join Us
  • A turnkey operation trusted by national supermarket chains, with a facility built around SQF and HACCP standards
  • Direct, daily working relationship with ownership โ€” your work is visible and it matters
  • A defined portfolio of significant accounts rather than a scattered book of business
  • Room to build and improve the systems and processes behind how we serve our customers
