Job Description

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or GED is required.

1+ year experience in security, law enforcement or military; including familiarity with security systems/equipment.

Must have or be able to attain additional skills and training regarding systems and procedures used in a physical security setting.

Effective written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience communicating between internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organizational skills, including time management and prioritization.

Ability to remain professional, calm, and focused, adaptable and flexible, in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team, partner with others throughout the organization, and provide advisement

and coaching on security-related issues.

Ability to troubleshoot effectively and proactively seek opportunities for process improvement.

Microsoft Office experience - e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Technical aptitude to learn new systems quickly.

Ability to work full time on-site daily at assigned location.

Additional Information

a. Operate and control the telecommunications, alarm monitoring, camera systems, access control, and life safety systems for Wellmark properties.

b. Act as the intermediary between emergency situations and emergency response personnel; convey information to the emergency personnel and ensuring appropriate response to observed conditions.

c. Greet and provide exceptional customer service to all Wellmark guests and workforce.

d. Monitor and provide oversight of surveillance of the premises and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and protection of guests, team members and company assets.

e. Support visitor management processes, including access requests and badge administration.

f. Secure premises and personnel and prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities.

g. Support site management of Wellmark parking which may include verifications of entrance into garage, patrol of garage, security camera monitoring of garage, etc.

h. Administer and maintain corporate parking programs, including processing parking registrations, issuing permits, maintaining parking records, and responding to employee parking inquiries.

i. Assist with general administrative tasks related to physical security operations, facilities coordination, and employee safety programs.

j. May provide support in other areas such as Facilities and special event activities, etc., and business-related initiatives as needed.

k. Other duties as assigned.

Office-based: The nature of the job duties for this position will require you to be in the office 100% of the time. Your presence in-office is critical to effectively perform the responsibilities of the role. Occasional remote work may be permitted based on workload and/or other ad-hoc situations that support it, with manager approval.
