Job description

The Retailer Sales Insights Analyst works closely with the National Key Accounts and Channel Strategy teams to turn retailer and customer data into meaningful insights. This role analyzes retailer-specific trends, develops clear, data-driven stories for customer presentations, and partners with the Manager to support sales decisions and recommendations.

Based on workload and technical experience, the analyst may also build simple, single-step agents after completing the required Decision Intelligence intake process with the Manager. Over time, this role will develop strong expertise in key account data and customer analytics, with the goal of independently delivering insights and recommendations.

Candidates must reside in the Atlanta area to be considered for this role.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Analyze retailer and channel performance using Claude, retailer portals, and syndicated data. Review the results for accuracy and sound business logic before sharing, and provide data-driven insights during customer meetings.

  • Support the Manager in preparing retailer business reviews, sales stories, channel strategies, and customer presentations by gathering data, developing key insights, and ensuring all information is accurate.

  • Help create Decision Intelligence build briefs for retailer and channel needs by clearly outlining the business problem, tool requirements, and success criteria. The analyst may build simple, single-step automations when appropriate, but must first complete an intake meeting led by the Manager.

  • Research competitive activity and category and channel trends to help shape retailer strategies and recommendations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Education/Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or two to three years of experience performing similar responsibilities.

  • 2+ years with Retailer analytics in CPG, retail, consumer goods or sales experience

  • Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and Excel

  • Willingness to learn AI-powered analytics tools (Claude or similar)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication for Retailer audiences

Preferred:

  • Comfort with customer-facing data applications and retailer portals

  • Experience with CPG syndicated data

Work Environment: Standard professional office environment with a hybrid work schedule. Employees are expected to work on-site 2–3 days per week, with specific in-office days determined by business needs, including collaboration, planning sessions, training activities, and other team or leadership meetings.

Travel: Minimal. Up to 20%
