The Role Overview

PTI is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team. This is an in-office, customer-facing role responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of manufacturing programs and ensuring exceptional client experiences from kickoff through delivery. The ideal candidate brings 2 to 4 years of hands-on project management experience in a manufacturing environment, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.

Position Details

Location: Hawthorne, NY โ€” On-site 5 days per week

Employment Type: Full-Time

Base Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per year depending on experience

PTO: 2 weeks paid time off to start

Compensation Plan: Performance-based compensation plan - details provided during offer stage / 401K match.

Travel: 10 to 15% travel to customer sites as required

Key Responsibilities

โ€ข      Manage the end-to-end execution of customer-facing manufacturing projects from kickoff through delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

โ€ข      Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, building strong relationships and providing clear, timely, and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.

โ€ข      Coordinate cross-functional internal teams including engineering, operations, quality, and service to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.

โ€ข      Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status reviews, and customer site visits as required.

โ€ข      Identify, track, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies using PMO-provided tools and frameworks.

โ€ข      Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports using Monday.com and Microsoft Project.

โ€ข      Lead stakeholder alignment efforts across internal and external partners, negotiating scope changes, schedule adjustments, and resource requirements as needed.

โ€ข      Maintain accurate project documentation including meeting notes, action items, change orders, and delivery records.

โ€ข      Adhere to and champion PTI PMO standards, processes, and governance frameworks across all assigned programs.


Required Qualifications

โ€ข      2 to 4 years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or capital equipment environment.

โ€ข      Demonstrated experience managing customer-facing projects with direct client interaction and stakeholder management responsibilities.

โ€ข      Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.

โ€ข      Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audiences.

โ€ข      Ability to travel to customer sites 10 to 15% of the time.

โ€ข      Willingness and ability to work on-site at PTI headquarters in Hawthorne, NY five days per week.

โ€ข      Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

โ€ข      Ability and willingness to learn and consistently use PMO-provided project management tools and frameworks.


Preferred Qualifications

โ€ข      Experience with Monday.com for project tracking, dashboard development, and team collaboration.

โ€ข      Experience with Microsoft Project for scheduling and resource planning.

โ€ข      Bachelorโ€™s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

โ€ข      Experience in pharmaceutical, packaging, or inspection equipment industries.
