ABOUT THE ROLE
At Jaxen Grey, the Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in supporting the Store Manager and ensuring the day-to-day success of store operations. This position helps lead the store team, drives sales and service standards, and ensures operational excellence across the sales floor and back-of-house. The Assistant Store Manager brings the Jaxen Grey mission, culture, and customer experience to life through strong leadership, communication, and execution.
This is a full-time, Supervisor-Level role reporting to the Store Manager, with responsibility for people leadership, performance management, and operational execution.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE...
  • Support the Store Manager in leading all store employees, including Sales Stylists, Inventory, and Store Support roles
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to achieve sales, service, and customer experience goals
  • Manage day-to-day employee performance, including providing feedback and supporting corrective action when needed
  • Address employee concerns and performance issues with timely, constructive feedback, partnering with the Store Manager as needed
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • Lead the store team on the sales floor, modeling exceptional service and selling behaviors
  • Oversee store operations, including opening and closing procedures, shipping and receiving, alterations, special orders, supplies, and cleanliness standards
  • Partner with inventory leadership to ensure inventory accuracy, organization, and operational efficiency
  • Support visual merchandising execution and ensure brand standards are maintained throughout the store
  • Monitor store performance and contribute to action plans that drive results
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the Store Manager

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS POSITION IF YOU HAVE...
  • At least 1 year of retail management or supervisory experience
  • Experience with retail operations, sales leadership, and merchandising execution
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team
  • Ability to balance operational execution with customer experience priorities
  • Ability to meet individual sales expectations (approximately $30,000 per month, ATV $200, UPT 2.0) while supporting overall store performance
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Comfort using technology, including Point of Sale systems and Microsoft 365
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY...
  • This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Must be able to work a retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends, holidays, and peak volume periods
