Job description

American Health Imaging is seeking an experienced and dynamic Center Manager to lead our Lawrenceville, GA location.

Job Summary:ย 

The Center Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality, efficient and effective services for our Imaging patients and families in a standard center(s).ย  Creates a positive and collaborative work environment while supervising the daily activities, patient flow, operations, clinical procedures, and performance of center staff.ย  Participates in short-term and long-range planning and business development.ย ย 

ย 

Duties/Responsibilities:ย ย 

Patient Careย 

  • Greet patients, families, and visitors in a courteous and helpful mannerย ย 
  • Ensures accuracy of patient data entered in the RIS ย 
  • Ensures smooth daily operations by resolving performance issues and ensuring appropriate scheduling of center staffย 
  • Ensures patient throughput by completing pre-visit patient care and on-site patient preparation activities as neededย 
  • Acts as point of escalation for concerns and challenges from patients and referring physiciansย 

Staff and Center Managementย 

  • Manages center(s) within a single geographic areaย 
  • Develops and fosters referring physician relationshipsย 
  • Maintains positive working relationships with joint venture partnerships, if applicableย 
  • Acts as the owner of the P&L with responsibility for escalating issues and concernsย 
  • Develops, reviews, and implements action plans based on financial reporting to enhance center performanceย 
  • Manages contrast coverage and corresponding radiologist schedulesย 
  • Attends training to stay up to date on best practices and protocolsย 
  • Implements and manages the training and onboarding program for new associatesย 
  • Participates in the staff planning and hiring process for new associatesย 
  • Leads regular team and department meetings and employee one-on-onesย 
  • Monitors and approves timecards on a daily or weekly basisย 
  • Leads, initiates, and participates in annual performance evaluations, developmentand performance management of associatesย 
  • Establishes associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverageย 
  • Evaluates, implements, and manages workflow and process improvements for the departmentย 
  • Ensures the department has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in placeย 
  • Supports employees ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction
  • Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
  • Develops methods for measuring and monitoring team and department performanceย 

Education and Experience:ย 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelorโ€™s degree preferredย ย 
  • 2-5 yearsโ€™ experience working in healthcare environmentย ย 
  • 2-3 years of previous people management experienceย 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; including excelย 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ย 

  • Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocolsย 
  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelinesย 
  • Knowledge of basic level computer skillsย 
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completionย 
  • Skill in written and verbal communicationย 
  • Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically and identify trendsย 
  • Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision makingย 
  • Ability to influence across the organization and work effectively with all levels of management and staffย 
  • Ability to maintain and build constructive relationships that produce resultsย 
  • Ability to effectively supervise exempt and non-exempt staffย 
  • Ability to lead in a manner consistent with USRS and the Departments valuesย 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environmentย 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlinesย

  • Ability to effectively handle details with accuracyย

  • Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next levelย
