What is a customer enablement manager?

A Customer Enablement Manager is a professional responsible for ensuring that customers have the resources, training, and support they need to successfully use a company's products or services. They work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop educational materials, and deliver onboarding programs. Their goal is to drive customer satisfaction, adoption, and long-term success by empowering users to get the most value from the offerings. Additionally, they often collaborate with sales, product, and support teams to improve the overall customer experience.

How does a customer enablement manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer experience?

A Customer Enablement Manager frequently works alongside Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure customers receive the tools, resources, and training needed to maximize product value. This collaboration involves gathering customer feedback, identifying knowledge gaps, and developing enablement content such as guides or training sessions. Job description

Redefine the future of customer experiences. One conversation at a time.

At Nextiva, we're reimagining how businesses connect, bringing together customer experience and team collaboration on a single, conversation centric platform. Powered by AI, driven by human innovation.

Our culture is forward thinking, customer obsessed and built on the belief that meaningful connections drive better business outcomes. Whether it's through our signature Amazing Service®, the technology we create, or the experiences we cultivate, connection is at the core of who we are.

If you're ready to collaborate with incredible people, make an impact, and help businesses everywhere deliver truly amazing experiences, this is where you belong.

Location: This is an onsite role based at Nextiva's Scottsdale headquarters (9451 E. Via de Ventura, Scottsdale, AZ 85256). Working together onsite strengthens how we operate, enabling faster decisions, clearer communication, and stronger execution, so you can make a greater impact and move work forward with speed and clarity.

In-Office Expectation: This role is expected to work onsite five days per week, supporting a highly collaborative, in-person team environment.

Nextiva is looking for a Sales Enablement Manager to own how and when reps get trained on our products. This role will own building and running an enablement calendar. You'll work side by side with the Go-to-Market Enablement Manager, turning the information they gather into training reps can actually use, delivered on a schedule that doesn't overload the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Calendar Ownership: Build and maintain the enablement calendar (what's being trained, when) and keep it visible to sales leadership and reps
  • Training Delivery: Turn briefs and materials from the GTM Enablement Manager into finished sessions and decks, then deliver them to the sales team
  • Rep Capacity Management: Balance training cadence against the sales team's bandwidth; partner with sales leadership to avoid overloading reps in any given week
  • Enablement Partnership: Work day-to-day with the GTM Manager to prioritize what gets trained and when, and flag where reps need more depth
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Stay aligned with Customer Success enablement and L&D to ensure training remains consistent across all teams
  • Ongoing Enablement: Own recurring training as product updates roll in, working from documentation and one-pagers maintained by Marketing

Who You Are

  • Rep-Minded: You've worked closely enough with sales to know how reps actually learn and what sticks
  • Organized: You can run a calendar with multiple moving trainings without losing the thread
  • A Strong Presenter: You're comfortable running a session, in a room or on Zoom, that actually lands
  • Protective of Rep Time: You push back when the training load gets too heavy, and you know how to prioritize
  • Collaborative: You work well with go-to-market enablement, marketing, and sales leadership without needing everything spelled out

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years in sales enablement, sales training, or a quota-carrying sales role, ideally in B2B SaaS or technology
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • Experience building and running a recurring training calendar or program
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Experience partnering with product marketing or enablement teams to turn documentation into deliverable training
  • Comfortable balancing multiple stakeholders' priorities (sales leadership, product, and marketing) under tight timelines

Nextiva DNA (Core Competencies)

Nextiva's most successful team members share common traits and behaviors:

  • Drives Results: Action-oriented problem solvers who quickly bring clarity and simplicity to ambiguity, challenge the status quo, and lead meaningful change; celebrating wins to fuel momentum. They act swiftly and pragmatically, learning and improving as they go.
