Buckman delivers exceptional service and innovative solutions to our customers globally in the pulp and paper, leather, and water treatment sectors to help boost productivity, reduce risk, improve product quality, and provide a measurable return on investment. 
 
Position Summary 
The Customer Delivery Technician (CDT) role exists to provide essential, technical service and operational support at the Augusta mill. This position ensures that all chemistry testing, system monitoring, equipment maintenance, and chemical handling are performed consistently and safely to protect mill operations and treatment performance. By owning these daily service responsibilities, the CDT enables the Sales Executive to focus on strategic growth, new customer development, and expanding business across the region. The role is required to maintain service reliability, strengthen customer satisfaction, and safeguard the performance of our chemical programs. Without this role, both operational continuity and regional sales growth would be significantly limited. The CDT is therefore critical to sustaining our current success and enabling future expansion. 
Key Outcomes/Responsibilities
  • Managing the operations and performance of equipment in a manner that makes Buckman attractive and prevents attrition 
                                                                                                                                    
Actions: pump maintenance, inventory, chemical testing, process sample testing, service reports (customer requested subjects and frequency), customer entertainment (lunch, dinner, teams building exercises), responding to service calls as needed
 
  • Customer Delivery Tech should support Sales Executive in the execution of savings projects to the customer to help improve their process (>10% of sales each year)                                                                                                           
 
Actions: lab testing to provide supporting data, installation of new equipment, process sample testing
 
  • Customer Delivery Tech should reduce service workload for Sales Executive so that annual sales targets can be reached by increasing volumes or obtaining new applications                                                                                                                                                            
 
Actions: commercializing new applications, increasing volumes of existing applications to improve customer performance, working with sales manager to identify target applications
 
  • Servicing the account in a manner that keeps the customer happy                                                       
 
Actions: writing service reports, application testing and monitoring, responding to service calls, maintaining equipment
 
Basic Qualifications 
  • Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Job Experience: 2 - 3 years
