Job Title: Senior Application Engineer, Water Market Area

Reports to: Application Engineering Manager, Water Market Area

Location: Richmond, VA

Position Summary:As a Senior Application Engineer, you will be responsible for coordination and execution of daily standard / general / project business proposal generation. This role requires an individual who is well-organized and detail oriented who can thrive in a fast paced team environment. The Application Engineering Team works hand-in-hand with our Authorized Distribution Network and Internal KSB teams (Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, and Factories) to accurately manage quotes in fulfillment of deadlines while providing industry leading customer service and solutions.

Task & Responsibilities

  • Generate and Manage Multiple General/Project/Replacement Business Quotations at a fast pace. Candidate should be able to quote direct jobs, and pass-through support to our KSB sister companies.
  • Technical responses to KSB Representatives and guidance using KSBx and HELPs selection software. Should be comfortable to make rep site visits or attend trade shows.
  • Responsible for using KSBs tools in providing pump technical information such as datasheets, speed curves, parallel curves, drawings, etc. CAD capabilities strongly desired.
  • This candidate will start with BT3 rights in KSBs Easy Select and KSBase selection platforms with full product knowledge (including borehole and vertical turbine pumps).
  • This candidate will serve on the Remote Applications Center team and may serve as a product champion reflective of expertise.
  • Ability to interact with vendors for buyouts
  • Ability to cover existing quote updates for colleagues out of office, and able to carry project from any status, to completion.
  • Ability to understand/translate drawings and specifications
  • Ability to train new employees
  • Ability to support global key accounts
  • Stay abreast of company offerings (products and services), Tools and Systems.
  • Support AE Manager with routine reporting on key performance metrics
  • Departmental filing and records management.
  • Other Application Engineering responsibilities, as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors of Science, Engineering (any discipline, mechanical preferred) required
  • 5-7 years experience within Water or Wastewater market segment preferred
  • Sales Experience Valued
