Job description

About us:

At Schlosser Signs, we design, manufacture, and install custom signage for clients throughout Colorado that brings their visions to life. In business since 1999 Schlosser has been a leader in the signage industry, and we are continuing to grow as a full-service provider throughout the Front Range and beyond. With more than 40 employees and projects ranging from single sign installations to hundreds of signs at a single location, we are actively looking to expand by hiring a superstar sales professional. We offer a comprehensive benefits package with paid time off, 401k, health, dental, and vision insurance.

Headquartered in Windsor, Colorado, we are excited to expand our team with individuals who share our vision: To provide stunning best-in-class custom signs to businesses and institutions by providing our clients with fantastic designs, exceptional project management, punctual installation, and best-in-class after sales support through one of the best teams in the industry.

Position Summary:

As an Account Executive, your success begins with a strong desire to understand our products, services, and how they integrate into construction and development environments. This role is well-suited for a sales professional who is comfortable working within construction-driven timelines, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and selling customized solutions tied to physical builds and installations.

A successful candidate will understand how signage fits into the broader construction and development process and will be able to guide clients through both the creative and practical aspects of their projects. The ideal candidate can confidently lead conversations and manage expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new leads to continuously build a strong sales pipeline, with an emphasis on construction-related opportunities, including general contractors, developers, property managers, and end users.
  • Develop custom signage solutions that align with construction schedules, budgets, and site requirements while helping clients realize their vision.
  • Maintain end-to-end client ownership from initial inquiry through contract execution and handoff to the Project Management Team, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (design, project management, and installation) to ensure project feasibility and customer satisfaction.
  • Navigate longer sales cycles typical of construction-related projects while maintaining consistent follow-up and relationship management.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, or construction-related networking opportunities as needed to promote company products and services.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and reporting to management.
  • Maintain a proactive, solution-oriented approach to sales while contributing ideas that support continued growth of the construction and commercial sales pipeline.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, construction market conditions, and competitive offerings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a sales professional, preferably within construction, signage, commercial services, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience selling customized, project-based solutions with longer sales cycles.
  • Ability to accurately qualify leads and move prospects through the sales funnel to close while remaining highly organized and responsive.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Comfortable working with construction professionals and understanding how sales decisions align with project timelines and budgets.
  • Open to collaboration, feedback, and brainstorming new sales approaches with a team-first mindset.
  • High level of personal integrity and professionalism when representing the company to customers and partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Solid organizational skills; able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Resourceful problem solver; can devise creative solutions to problems.
  • Stays fluent and trained in company required software, programs, and operating systems
  • Computer proficiency is a must. This includes the Microsoft suite of products and experience with mainstream CRM (Salesforce, ZOHO, etc.) is preferred.
  • Excellent communicator

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Must pass pre-employment drug test, and background check.
