What is custom packaging?

Custom packaging refers to the process of designing and producing packaging tailored specifically to a brand's products, needs, and identity. It involves creating unique boxes, bags, or containers that not only protect the product but also enhance its presentation and customer experience. Custom packaging can include specialized materials, shapes, sizes, printing, and branding elements to help a business stand out in the market. This approach is commonly used to increase brand recognition, provide better product protection, and deliver a memorable unboxing experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a custom packaging role, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Custom Packaging role, you need knowledge of packaging materials, design principles, and production processes, usually supported by experience in manufacturing or industrial design. Familiarity with design software like Adobe Illustrator or CAD systems, as well as an understanding of packaging machinery, is typically required. These skills ensure that packaging meets client needs for functionality, branding, and cost-effectiveness in a competitive market.
