Position Summary
The Custom Coordinator II role is responsible for preparing accurate production drawings to support fabrication, ensuring deliverables are high quality, error-free, completed on schedule, and aligned with company profitability goals. The role also encompasses responsibilities from purchase order receipt through delivery to the client.
Core duties include entering orders into the ERP system, monitoring order status, verifying hardware compatibility, providing necessary documentation to the production team, and ensuring receipt of required materials. Serving as a central point of coordination, the position facilitates communication with clients and internal departments to achieve timely and efficient order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
  • Own custom orders from intake through release to production and delivery-ensuring scope, specifications, timelines, and requirements are accurate, complete, and executed correctly.
  • Serve as the central point of contact coordinating between clients, estimators, purchasing, programming, production, and receiving to ensure alignment, issue resolution, and timely execution.
  • Manage all client-facing communication related to order status, changes, lead times, and issue resolution-ensuring expectations are clearly set and met.

Order Entry
  • Intermediate level understanding of order entry processes and procedures. Able to retrieve product and process related information to perform job related duties.
  • Intermediate level product knowledge and understanding of product operation, functionality, and compatibility within or in relation to framing materials and associated products.
  • Efficiently generate high quality production documents that are complete and accurate using AutoCAD, ERP, or other tools as applicable.

Experience & Skills
  • Education: High school education, Associates in Project Management, or Drafting & Design degree.

  • Experience: One year of experience in commercial or residential window, curtainwall, and/or storefront products, or Two years' experience as project manager and/or Design Drafting experience.

  • Required Skills: Possesses strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Highly detail-oriented with advanced computer proficiency and the ability to interpret and apply technical drawings.

Work Environment/Travel Requirements
  • Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment.
  • Extended periods of office work on a computer and in team meetings.
  • Overnight travel requirements will be variable based on projects and business activities.
    • Occasional travel related to other sites / corporate.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
    • Lift up to 50 lbs.
